Pasión Vitoria (Vitoria Passion) is Holy Week in one of the oldest and most traditional cities in Europe.
Vitoria-Gasteiz is a city, rich in art and culture, located in the north of Spain, with a lot of history and which is in itself a perfect place to spend this time of the year. We want people to go to the city, enjoy and remain with the certainty that Vitoria-Gasteiz is a first class destination for cultural enrichment and the enjoyment of holidays of these dates.
The Pasión Vitoria logo consists of the words Passion and Vitoria placed one on top of the other, although with the baseline of Vitoria a little higher to match that of the word Passion, giving a little more prominence to the first letters of the words, and especially to the V.
The symbol of the logo is the first letter of the city in large with two lines perpendicular to each other that rest on the left arm of the letter. This is a symbol of "The Carrying of the Cross" -a central event in the Passion of Jesus Christ- in order to maintain the central theme of these festivities: passion, death, and resurrection. But with an emphasis on the first.
The typeface is Baskerville, an elegant and clear serif that reflects well the historical and cultural character of the city and the event in general.
